At 14h00, Monday, 19th January, NSRI Table Bay duty crew rescue swimmers were dispatched following a call from ER24 ambulance services that they were responding to a reported drowning in progress in a tank at the Two Oceans Aquarium.Reportedly a 63 year old Johannesburg man on an adventure dive was in difficulties in a water tank.WC Government Health EMS rescue divers, a Police Dive Unit, Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services rescue divers and Life Health Care paramedic services also responded.Prior to arriving on-scene ER24 response paramedics confirmed that the man was out of the water after being rescued by a Two Oceans Aquarium rescue diver and was transported to hospital by ER24 ambulance in a serious condition suffering a Myocardial Infarction (Heart Attack) which had reportedly occurred while diving on an adventure dive at Two Oceans Aquarium.diving11-700x0 Photograph by Geoff Spiby.TO REPORT A SEA RESCUE EMERGENCY DIAL 112 FROM A CELLPHONESMS 32287 with your name and a message of support for our Sea Rescue crew
