OPERATION CENTRE (EOC)

087 094 9774
Here is an update and pictures on the goings on at Durban from Tim Edwards. The old ramp for the 10m Brede Eikos Rescuer II has been totally removed. The dolly for Eikos II has been taken apart and is being made ready to move to Mossel Bay station for their Brede, along with the hydraulic winch and power pack. The dolly for the 7m is being disassembled to be cleaned and galvanized.Meanwhile the wall separating the boat shed from the crew room has been demolished. A section of the floor will be removed to make more space in the boatshed to allow accommodation for a bigger vessel. The Brede is being temporarily moored at the Point Yacht Club Marina and still ready to respond to an emergency should one occur. (Thanks to Point Yacht Club for assisting us in this regard)That's it for now. Lots of banging, cutting and chaos happening, but will keep you updated as work progresses.
