A function was held at the Port Alfred Ski Boat Club last night to thank the services that responded to the Kowie rescue on the 5th of June 2011.The Sea Rescue crew were presented with a certificate and pictures to thank them for the crew's work.Thank you to the McArthur family for their recognition of the work done by our crew. Often when we bring casualties back to shore,we hand them over to the care of the awaiting ambulance and never hear from them again. It was very touching to have a reunion with the survivors and their families.
