From Left: Janet Burgess and Helen Wienand on far right with a member of the Women's Auxiliary in Northdene KZN
On Friday 3 March, Janet met with a new bequestor, Mrs Susie Dwyer, and presented her with her certificate and gold badge on a house visit to Mt Edgcombe. She also attends many of the Life Boat Club functions and is a keen member.
On 6 March Janet represented Life Boat Club at Fernhill Hotel in Howick to talk on Sea Rescue to Hilton and Howick Rotary. Twelve new members joined the Life Boat Club and quite a few made bequests. A member even wore his NSRI golf shirt he had bought in Cape Town and recounted a story when he was walking on Robberg and three scholars were washed into the sea and were saved by NSRI. Luckily he had taken a photo of the emergency number at the start of the walk.
Welcome to all our new members. If you would like to become a member of the Life Boat Club, please send an email to natasha@searescue.org.za.
