Justin Erasmus, NSRI Port Elizabeth deputy station commander, said: 'On Saturday, 19th January, at 12h15, NSRI Port Elizabeth volunteer sea rescue duty crew were activated following a request for medical assistance from the Chokka Fishing Boat BALARIS reporting a local Port Elizabeth 32 year old fisherman onboard to be suffering epileptic seizures.'Our NSRI Port Elizabeth volunteer sea rescue duty crew launched our sea rescue craft EIKOS RESCUER IV and rendezvoused with the Chokka boat off-shore of Willows.'The patient was stabilized and transferred onto our sea rescue craft and we transported him, in a stable condition, to the Noordhoek beach slip-way where he was transferred into an EC Government Health EMS ambulance and transported to hospital for further treatment.'06 Port Elizabeth PE story article Picture: / Sea Rescue
