After helicopter training on Saturday 24 November, Richards Bay volunteers were called to assist the 70ft research monohull yacht, the Lo Entropy.Lo Entropy had gearbox problems and a broken boom due to adverse weather conditions experienced whilst sailing from Durban.They managed to enter Richards Bay but were forced to anchor off Naval Island until assistance arrived. Both the Spirit of Round Table and Spirit of Richards Bay were used, after transferring crewman Werner Smit onto the casualty vessel, to manoeuvr the yacht onto the trots opposite the Richards Bay yacht club.
