The Port Elizabeth volunteers had the last round of their Hepatitis B injections this weekend. This was the last of three inoculations that have taken place over the past 9 months.
It was thought to be prudent to have our crews inoculated due to the high number of medical extrications the station was doing on foreign vessels.
The inoculations would have been very expensive for Sea Rescue, but Life St Georges Hospital donated the staff time and all the consumables required like needles , swabs and plasters. Station 6 would like to thanks Gillian Jones and her staff for the help.
