A Rescue Runner workshop was held at Wilderness over the past weekend for twenty five volunteers from eleven stations around the country.Kaj Lehtovaara and Fredrik Berggren, from the Swedish company Safe at Sea SAR Systems, the Rescue Runners manufacturers, led the workshop on Saturday.According to Operations Manager Mark Hughes, the hands on workshop was extremely valuable. Those who attended were thoroughly trained and expected to take their newly gained skills to teach others how to repair and maintain the Rescue Runners.
