Update:The boat show is wrapped and we have many new friends in Johannesburg. We were blown away by the support and generosity of the people who stopped to talk to us. And there were hundreds of folk who took the time to chat. R5 for a lip-ice? Here take this they said ... and handed over R100. One gent who donated R200 for parking at the Durban Boat show visited us again - and donated another R200. Wow.The winner of the Lifejacket so generously donated by Viking Lifesaving Equipment is Elsa van der Merwe. to all who donated R10 to enter this draw - Thank you.Previous story:Sea Rescue is well represented at the Johannesburg National Boat show held in the Coca Cola dome this year with a great corner stand. The organisers have been fantastic in their support - the entire stand was sponsored!Not only do we have the famous NSRI lip ice, caps, beanies and magazines, but this year we have a limited edition of a new shirt design for sale.WaterWise educators Fortune Sibiya and Marcus Oshry have been giving bystander CPR demonstrations and Joburg bequest officer Rhona Manack has been chatting to supporters about our Life Boat Circle.It has been fantastic meeting crew from the inland stations, chatting to supporters and discovering the enormous goodwill towards NSRI.
