Station 17 was activated on 04/08/2011 to evacuate an injured seaman off a large fishing vessel called Toralla. At 17h00 Hunters Gold Rescuer launched and headed out to the fishing vessel that was about two and a half miles out. They soon met up with Toralla and with about a 3 meter swell running, they managed to transfer the seaman safely to Hunter Gold Rescuer and headed for the safety of the harbour. He was transfered to an awaiting vehicle and station 17 stood down.
