A Swordfish of over three metres long has washed out of the sea at Melkbosstrand.Melkbosstrand NSRI crewman, Leon Van Niekerk, was amongst the first to find it in front of the well known Orca restaurant as the tide receded shortly before noon today.“ It was still alive when I got there. It has a massive eye and it watched me as I walked around it,” said Leon.The animal subsequently died and the Department of Environmental affairs, Oceans and Coasts, was on the way to assess the situation at the time of writing.
