1980'S REUNION bash and RCYC donate

HARDROCK, CJ'S + MIDNIGHT GRILL 1980'S REUNIONA group of “old jollers” started something HUGE... a 1980's reunion bash of Hardrock, CJ's and Midnight Grill faithfulls. They opened a Facebook group not really expecting much response but, a day later, 250 members signed up and to date ... almost 900 members!The party happened on 25th Feb at Maestro's in Milnerton and over 400 'old jollers' were there ... the dress code 'Strictly 80's Style'!Thanks to the tireless efforts of the committee members (Alexandra Moshonas-Hill, Brandon Platt, Mack Mckinley, Silvanna Delponte Mckinley, Orna Kiesel, Debbie Samson Stein, Stavro Michel, Ardi Hagglund and Gary Wallish), an excess of R12,000 was raised and this has been donated to the NSRI.Royal Cape Yacht Club donates :

For years Royal Cape Yacht Club has loyally donated a portion of the fees paid by yachts taking part in the Wednesday Twilight series to NSRI.This year, as Lewmar and Central Boating sponsored the series, ( The Lewmar Central Boating Twilight NSRI series) the entire entry fee of R10 000 was donated to Sea Rescue.This money will be given to the Table Bay rescue base as they would be called on to help if any of the yachts needed them during these events.The R10 000 cheque was handed to Sea Rescue CEO Ian Wienburg by Rodney Tanner of Central Boating at the prize giving at RCYC last night.
