Face-to-Face Marketer (JHB)

While NSRI crews and lifeguards are out saving lives, we have a team raising funds to support their efforts. The purpose of this role is to generate donations and build relationships with donors at venues, in person, for the NSRI. If you are goal-oriented, a self-starter and have excellent communication skills, we’d love to consider you for our dynamic team.

Minimum Requirements:       

  • Grade 12/equivalent

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a face-to-face sales or relationship environment

  • Fundraising experience an advantage 

  • Proficient in English / other languages an advantage

  • Persistent with sales and results orientation

  • Patient and able to handle rejection/resilient

  • Excellent time management

  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills

  • Self-Motivated and a team player

  • Energy, drive and presentable

  • Own reliable transport is essential 

  • Must be able to travel regularly 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Approach potential donors face-to-face at various venues 
  • Persuade potential donors to participate in the NSRI’s competition or support the NSRI in other ways 
  • Follow-up on donor pledges for support 
  • Deal with complaints or doubts to safeguard the NSRI’s reputation
  • Maintain accurate records of donor information
  • Meet performance targets 
  • Position and uphold the NSRI brand and reputation
