The National Sea Rescue Institute’s (NSRI) Survival Swimming lessons have returned at certain Municipal Swimming Pools in the KwaZulu-Natal region after an extended winter break.
As we jump into the warmer season, our time spent in and around water increases, making it crucial to learn the basic skills of how to stay afloat should you find yourself in difficulty in the water. These lessons are important lifesaving skills that everyone should learn.

The Survival Swimming program will kick off in time for the 2022 summer season, providing invaluable skills to the patrons of these swimming pools.
The NSRI’s volunteer Survival Swimming Instructors will be teaching adults and children the 4 basic skills of Survival Swimming; learning breath control, orientation, floating, and moving through water in the pool.
