John Nicholas, NSRI Port Edward station commander, said:At 08h06, Monday, 26th March, NSRI Port Edward duty crew were activated following reports of a boat capsized at Glenmore Beach, 5 kilometres South of Port Edward.A sea rescue 4x4 vehicle, the SA Police Services and KZN Private ambulance services responded.On arrival on the scene, 3 men from a Sharks Board craft that capsized in the surf while preparing to beach, were found on the beach.One man, a 33 year old, was treated on the scene for as dislocated shoulder and a knee injury sustained when the boat, with 3 crew onboard, capsized in the surf. He has been transported to hospital in a stable condition by KZN Private ambulance.2 Crew were not injured.NSRI assisted to recover the boat.
