Founding members, crew, supporters and local rescue services gathered this evening for NSRI Station 17 Hermanus AGM and 50th Anniversary Celebration.The evening began with the annual financial report presented by the chairman of the Fundraising Committee, Michael Clark. Over the last seven years, they have raised an incredible amount of over R3 million. Deon Langenhoven, Station Commander then honoured all who played a part in helping to grow and establish the Rescue Base and will celebrate turning 40 next year. Special awards were presented to crew and then party celebrations followed.Thank you to the Overberg Municipality for hosting the special event in their Auditorium.
