IMG_5317Western Cape Tourism Minister, Alan Winde, officially opened the extended Sea Rescue boatshed in Witsand today and Executive Mayor, Clr Emor Nel, blessed the 8.5m rescue boat 'Breede Rescuer'. Both guests paid tribute to the incredible effort of the volunteers and thanked them for their contribution to the community and the effect on local tourism.IMG_5327 Executive Mayor, Clr Emor Nel, blessed the 8.5m rescue boat “Breede Rescuer”.IMG_5304The ceremony was well attended by local supporters as well as representatives from the flanking rescue stations.
