The Table Bay rescue boat, Spirit of Vodacom, had just finished training on Saturday when they were told of a little bird struggling in the water near their base. Minutes later the boat was alongside, a rescue swimmer sent into the water and the bird was saved. The bird was dropped off at SANCOBB where it was identified as a juvenile Hartlaub Gull and is doing fine. You can watch the Youtube clip here.
