The blessing of the new 4,2 metre rescue boat Oscar’s Rescue which is based at Station 23, Wilderness, took place this morning. Oscar's Rescue is dedicated by Shirley, Warren, Daniel and Kelly in loving memory of their husband and father Oscar Goldstuck.'Over many holiday years, our whole family has grown to love this area and we are glad that this rescue boat will be helping people in these waters,' said Shirley.Oscar's Rescue will be used as a training boat for Sea Rescue coxswains as well as for rescues in the area.Pictures can be downloaded from Sea Rescue's Flickr page for media use.Shirley Goldstuck during the blessing of Oscar’s Rescue.
