Last night we hosted a most enjoyable evening of learning and fellowship across the generations.Dr Kerry Sink shared her fascination with the Coelacanth through her illustrated talk covering its' initial discovery in 1938 right up to the present. Current information is being gained by the use of a Remotely Operated Vehicle she pioneered for researching Coelacanths and their deep water habitats in South Africa.
The troop of Sea Scouts, studying marine life this term, were full of enthusiastic questions, and one confirmed he intends becoming a Marine Biologist.
Kerry's husband Dave Smith is one of our rescue crew at Station.26 Kommetjie.
