WaterWise Academy Instructor, Charles McHelm, visited Station 26, Kommetjie, to teach a Grade R class from Kommetjie Primary School about water safety and Hands On CPR during their field trip to the base. The class was treated to stories of rescues, trying on some gear and getting to sit on the quad bike and the boat. The base had never been filled with so many giggles and volunteers were happy to send the children home more knowledgeable about water safety and how NSRI works for them in emergencies.Training Coxswain, David Smith, demonstrates how the volunteers use the tractor to get the boat to the water.
