At 09h17 on Tuesday the 11th of February, NSRI Port Alfred volunteer sea rescue duty crew were activated to respond 19 nautical miles from Port Alfred and 1 nautical mile off Boknes, to medically assist a 46 year old fisherman, from Bushmans River, suffering epileptic seizures onboard the 6 meter fishing boat PLEASURE QUEEN II.Our NSRI Port Alfred volunteer sea rescue duty crew launched our sea rescue craft LOTTO CHALLENGER and on arrival on-scene, treated the fisherman, suffering continuous seizures, in a stable but serious condition. He was transferred onto our sea rescue craft and brought to Port Alfred where a Gaurdmed ambulance transported him to hospital for further treatment.11 - Lotto Challenger
