At 17h58 (Sunday, 10th November) NSRI Bakoven volunteer sea rescue duty crew were activated following reports from the motor yacht Sea Jay that they had happened upon a body found floating in the water approximately 1 nautical mile off-shore of the Sea Point promenade.Our NSRI Bakoven volunteer sea rescue duty crew launched our sea rescue craft ROTARIAN SCHIPPER and on arrival on-scene an unidentified body was recovered from the water and brought to the Oceana Power Boat Club and handed into the care of the Police and the Forensic Pathology Services.Police have opened an inquest docket.File image File image
