WaterWise in Durban:

This month NSRI Durban rescue volunteer Jacqui McAllister joined our WaterWise project as an Instructor. This is her first report after going into the classrooms of Addington Primary to teach the children about water safety:'Addington School were very receptive to the water safety lesson and were extremely grateful for our input. So far, I have educated 689 children, and our water safety lesson has been very well received. We have a plan in place to continue over the next couple of weeks.I have also visited children's homes in the area, and they are very happy that we have included them. I went to Durban Children's Home in Glenwood. They were very excited and so well behaved. They had lots of very clever questions they were asking. Jacqui teaches at Addington.
