Ekudonseni Primary School, in Empangeni.Eshowe based WaterWise Instructor Lwazi Fihlela visited Ekudonseni Primary School, in Empangeni where he spent the day teaching the children in their class rooms about water safety.A total of 430 leaners were taught. As Ekudonseni School is very close to the Mhlathuze Dam and drownings incidents involving children are well known by the learners we know that the safety talk will benefit the children.Their last tour to the beach was 3 years ago because of the fear of a child drowning. The principal, Mr Biyela, was so excited about Lwazi's talk that he visited each class that Lwazi had taught and personally tested the learners on the WaterWise lesson. Follow up sessions in the afternoon were held with the grade 7's, who are planning to go to the beach later in the year.WaterWise is proudly sponsored by TNPA.
