Flooding at Richards Bay

There has been some very heavy rainfall in Richards Bay between Friday night and Sunday morning with up to 200mm of rainfall being reported in some places. On Sunday, Richards Bay volunteers assisted a ski boat which was flooded by the rainfall and capsized on its mooring. The owner's sons and our NSRI crew attached two buoys to the ski boat (Finding Meeno) and assisted to pull it along to a beach close by where they righted it and with the assistance of a local fisherman had the water pumped out.
