Sea Rescue volunteers from Station 33, Witsand; Coxswain Attie Gunter and his crewmen Leon Pretorius and Quentin Diener, received their International Maritime Organisation Certificates of Commendation in recognition of meritorious services, for the risky search and rescue operation of the four crew members of the catamaran yacht Gulliver.The three volunteers were able to be flown to the ceremony in London with the help of kind donors to receive their certificates, and were accompanied to the ceremony by Mr. Ntuli Dumisani Alternate Permanent Representative of the Republic of South Africa to IMO.Pictures by the IMO are available for download on Sea Rescue's Flickr page.
