Simon’s Town NSRI was requested by Kalk Bay harbour master, Pat Stacey, to go to the assistance of a boat in Fish Hoek which had a great white shark entangled in lines attached to her sea snail traps . On scene the 5.5 metre rescue boat, Eddie Beaumont II, was unable to assist in the untangling of the dead 4,3 metre female great white and escorted the boat that had asked for assistance back to Simons Town.
