UPDATE: Well done to Ben who completed the Argus on his single-speed chopper, and did an awesome job of flying the NSRI flag in aid of NSRI Knysna. UPDATE: Last night Ben was down at the Knysna rescue base trying on the the NSRI rash vest and NSRI rescue boat helmet which he will wear during the Argus Cycle Tour on Sunday. So far he has raised R5 000. Well done Ben, we'll be looking out for you.ORIGINAL STORY: Ben Giliomee, is 15 years old and is in grade 9 at Oakhill College in Knysna.He has completed one solo Argus Cylce Tour (2011) in a time of 3 hour 26 minutes and twice on a tendem with his dad.This year he will attempt to ride the full 110km’s on the “chopper bicycle” in the photograph below, in aid of NSRI Knysna. The crew have offered to dress him up in a NSRI rash vest and baggies so that he looks the part.Ben is seeking sponsors of R1 per kilometre i.e R110.To get involved follow the links on the NSRI website to DONATE and mention that this is for NSRI Knysna in support of Ben's bike ride.
