STATION 37, JEFFREYS BAYHumansdorp Sunday 12th February 2012. Man rescued on dam:At 14h01 on Sunday 12th February NSRI Jeffreys Bay volunteers were called out following reports of a man being swept away by strong winds in a canoe on the Impofu Dam, between Humansdorp and Kareedouw. The SA Police Force also responded.Our NSRI Jeffreys Bay duty crew dispatched a vehicle towing a Rescue Waverunner to the scene where they launched it after the mans parents pointed out the direction that their son was last seen being swept across the dam by strong winds.We located the man, 27 year old Morne Bouillon, and took him to where Police were waiting on the bank.Police transported Morne to the Humansdorp Police station where he was reunited with his family.He was not injured and his canoe was recovered.
