Sunday 28th August 2011:At 14h42 our NSRI Wilderness volunteer duty crew were called out following reports of 2 fishermen trapped on Flat Rock, between Wilderness and Kleinkrans. They had been cut off from the mainland by the spring high tide, and although they were safe, they required assistance to get ashore.Our duty crew launched their DISCOVERY rescue runner and our duty crew responded to the scene in our rescue vehicle. On-scene a rope and pulley system was rigged and both men, Ricardo Camper, 36, and Reginald Tamboer, 32, from George, were helped from Flat Rock to mainland.
