WaterWise educators were asked to visited Morrisdale primary school in Ceres after 11 year old Bradley de Leeuw tragically drowned in a well-known swimming hole called Koffiegat. The boy slipped as he was crossing the river with an adult and five other children.Police divers had to slow the flow of the river by using sandbags the following day to retrieve his body.Eoudia Erasmus, WaterWise’s Ceres educator, led the WaterWise team in teaching water safety, who to call in an emergency ( 10177 from any phone) and how to do bystander CPR.
