Shelly beach launched Caltex Endeavour, Caltex Challenger and Rescue Runner 8 for a routine training on Sunday 6 March. While on exercise they received a call from the 9 m fishing boat Hakuna Matata off Ramsgate for a lady who had a back injury.They proceeded to the fishing vessel and secured the patient on a trauma board, and transported her back to Shelly Beach where she was handed over to the ambulance and taken to hospital.
