Station 4 Mykonos was on duty for the Mykonos Offshore Regatta, held on the weekend of 25-26 February. Friday was a busy day as we were called to assist a Tri-maran that capsized just off Vondeling Island, after being caught by a very big swell. There was a crew of five on board, and all 5 were safely on top on the overturned vessel.NSRI immediately sprung into action and they were all taken aboard the Sea Rescue boat. The crew of the vessel took all the necessary safety precautions, and in doing so, ensured that they remained safe while waiting for assistance. Their capsized vessel was towed in to the Mykonos Marina. The rest of the weekend was quite, and lots of fun was had by all. Some really great sailing was done, and Station 4 as always, was proud to be associated with this great annual event.
