Sea Rescue – Witsand – Saturday, 19th February, 2011: Fishing trawler assisted:At 13h00 NSRI Witsand were called out following a request for assistance from the fishing trawler Mary-Anne reporting motor failure at sea and requiring spare parts.After confirming that the crew were in no danger we got the spare parts they required to get their motors up and running and launched our sea rescue boat to rendezvoused with the trawler 6 nautical miles off-shore and 18 nautical South of Witsand.Spare parts were transferred onto the trawler and the crew of the trawler soon had their vessels motors running again.
