Sea Rescue – Port Elizabeth – 12th February, 2010. 14 year old boy missing presumed drowned.At 18h42 NSRI from Port Elizabeth were called out following reports of 5 persons in difficulty in the surf at Well’s Village.We launched our sea rescue boat and NSRI volunteers and SA Police Services responded to the scene.Lifeguards on-scene had commenced a surf rescue operation and on our arrival it was confirmed that a 38 year old woman, a 16 year old boy and two 14 year old boys were already out of the surf and on the beach. They had been swept out to sea by rip-currents and a search for a missing 14 year old boy continued until last light.No sign of the missing 14 year old boy has been found and Police are due to continue a search on Sunday.All of the casualties and the missing teenager are locals.
