Phoenicia, the replica Phoenician/Mediterranean vessel that sailed around our coast in January - has successfully completed the recreation of the first circumnavigation of Africa, accomplished by Phoenician mariners in 600BC. Her 20 000 mile voyage ended in Arwad harbour, Syria, on the 23rd October. The trip will be featured as part of the forthcoming Ancient Worlds documentary series for BBC 2, due to broadcast in autumn 2010.
