The NSRI is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analytics Specialist to join our Fundraising & Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining operational and management reporting, managing the end-to-end execution of lists and donor selections, and delivering analysis that deepens NSRI's understanding of its donor base and campaign performance. Your expertise will play a key role in optimising fundraising performance, enhancing donor engagement, and contributing to the achievement of the NSRI's mission. Closing date 2026/07/16.

Key performance tasks:
 

Operational Reporting & Business Intelligence

  • Develop and maintain SQL queries for reporting and analysis.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • Prepare call centre performance reports.
  • Maintain reporting documentation and standard operating processes.
     

Campaign Execution & List Management

  • Execute and maintain the agreed process for building and delivering calling lists, direct marketing selections and campaign audiences, under the guidance and sign-off of the Strategy and Business Planner.
  • Support day-to-day coordination with external list vendors, including tracking volumes, schedules, quality issues and escalations.
  • Manage the end-to-end creation of calling list and campaign audiences.
  • Build donor selections using agreed business rules.
  • Support lead generation programmes and CRM data flows.
  • Ensure compliance with POPIA and internal data governance requirements.
     

Donor Insight & Analysis

  • Analyse donor behaviour and campaign performance.
  • Identify trends, risk and growth opportunities.
  • Produce insight reports and recommendations.
  • Support campaign planning and performance review meetings.
     

Data Quality & Governance

  • Monitor and maintain data integrity.
  • Maintain the opt-out register.
  • Identify data quality issues and work with Business, Product Owner and IT department to resolve.

    Business Partnering & Collaboration
  • Work closely with Fundraising, Marketing, Finance and Call Centre teams.
  • Translate business needs into reporting solutions.
  • Manage multiple reporting and data requests and priorities.
  • Support strategic decision-making through data analysis

    Minimum Requirements:
     
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Information Systems, Business Analytics or a related field.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in a data, business intelligence, reporting or analytics role.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation and manipulation.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining BI dashboards and reports.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Power Query, Power Pivot, etc, and data analysis functions).
  • Experience in working with large volumes of transactional data.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Confidentiality and working knowledge of POPIA and its implications for data handling and list management.
  • Experience in fundraising, non-profit or call centre environments will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Power Platform is advantageous.
