At 08h36, Friday, 02 January 2026, NSRI St Lucia duty crew were activated following reports of a jetski capsized South of Ingwe Beach, St Lucia.
Jan Hoffman, NSRI St Lucia deputy station commander, said:
On arrival on the scene, we found the adult male skipper, on a holiday, from Gauteng, safely ashore, and the jetski capsized on a sandbank offshore.
The NSRI tractor was dispatched to assist and recovered the jet ski to the shore without incident.
NSRI medics checked on the casualty and found him not to be injured.
The NSRI crew assisted the skipper in recovering his jet ski, and no further assistance was required.
