Police divers (WPDS - Water Policing and Diving Services), Police K9 Search and Rescue and, at times, a Police helicopter, assisted by EC Government Health EMS and by NSRI Mdumbi, are continuing in ongoing search efforts for a teenager that went missing in the surf zone at Hole-in-the-Wall, Eastern Cape, on Tuesday.

At 11h14, Tuesday, 16 December, NSRI Mdumbi duty crew were activated following reports of a drowning in progress at Hole-in-the-Wall, Eastern Cape.
The SA Police Services responded and the NSRI Mdumbi rescue craft JetRIB was launched.
On arrival on the scene a search commenced for a 13 year old male teenager, from Mthatha, who had gone missing in the surf zone.
Despite the extensive sea and shoreline search there remained no sign of the teenager.
