The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) proudly celebrates its longstanding partnership with the Oceana Group, a collaboration spanning over two decades and is rooted in a shared commitment to water safety.
Since first supporting the NSRI in 2002 and becoming a Platinum Partner in 2013, Oceana has played a vital role in strengthening rescue operations and water safety education initiatives across South African communities.
Recognising the critical role of the fishing and maritime industries, the NSRI and Oceana have worked hand in hand to ensure that small-scale fishers, seafarers, and their communities have the education, skills, and resources to stay safe in and around the water.
On Thursday, 27 March 2025, the NSRI proudly reaffirmed this partnership by presenting Oceana with a certificate symbolising the renewal of their Platinum Partnership. Oceana’s unwavering support continues to make a meaningful impact—saving lives, changing lives, and creating futures.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Oceana Group for their ongoing commitment to safety at sea and for being a valued partner in our mission.
