NSRI Shelly Beach duty crew were activated to assist Police Search and Rescue between Sunwich Port and Melville Beach in a search launched for a missing man.

It appears that the man, believed to be a local, aged in his late 20's, went missing while swimming.

The NSRI rescue craft JetRib, Rescue 20 Bravo, and the NSRI rescue craft Freemasons Way, were launched and joined the SA Police Services, Police Search and Rescue and MI7 ambulance services on the scene.

Despite an extensive search there remains no signs of the missing man.

Police Search and Rescue are continuing in an ongoing search.

Thoughts are with the family of the missing man in this difficult time.
