At 17h35, Monday, 23 August, NSRI Simon's Town duty crew were activated following a request for assistance from a local fishing vessel reporting to have power failure and in no imminent danger but adrift 1 nautical mile East of Seal Island, False Bay.
The sea rescue craft Donna Nicholas was launched and NSRI shore crew responded to Kalk Bay Harbour.
On arrival on the scene a towline was established we towed the vessel to Kalk Bay Harbour without incident and safely moored the vessel at her mooring and no further assistance was required.
