NSRI assist Police in a body recovery operation 

Travis Clack, NSRI Witbank station commander, said:At 16h15, Friday, 9 July, NSRI Witbank duty crew were activated following a request for assistance from Police K9 Search and Rescue who were searching a water holding area near to Clewer, West of Witbank, for a missing male believed to be aged in his early 20's.Our NSRI rescue vehicle, accompanied by an NSRI Croc (small floating rescue craft), was dispatched.On arrival on the scene NSRI assisted Police K9 Search and Rescue to recover the body of a male that had been located by Police after the body surfaced in the water holding area.The body was recovered onto the NSRI Croc and brought to the banks of the water holding area.The body of the deceased man was taken into the care of Emalahleni Government Health Forensic Pathology Services.Police have opened an inquest docket.Condolences are conveyed to the family of the deceased man.
