Every year NSRI crews and lifeguards rescue many children; however, it is better to teach them how to stay safe in the first place and it is therefore that Pioneer Fishing (West Coast) Pty Ltd had requested our Water Safety instructors visit primary schools in St Helena.Nicole Anthoney, one of the Water Safety instructors, visited 4 schools and taught more than 2500 children over the last 2 days. The children and teachers loved the lessons and their feedback was fantastic!Noleen van Rooy, HR Officer at Oranjevis Joint Venture, reported that the little ones enjoyed the lessons and learnt a lot.We hope that the children will go out to into the community and spread the water safety lessons they have learnt. Mr Martin Delport thoroughly enjoyed the presentation and was very keen to assist Nicole.
