VAAL DAM:Jake Manten, NSRI Vaal Dam station commander, said:Police divers assisted by Police K-9 Search and Rescue are continuing in a search and investigations into the case of a missing 19 year old male from Johannesburg reported missing on Friday 7th, at 23h00 on the Vaal Dam.NSRI Vaal Dam launched rescue craft on the dam and shoreline patrols have been ongoing to search for the teenager who reportedly launched a canoe at around 19h00 in Dabank, near to Oranjeville, to paddle on the Dam but he has failed to return and the alarm was raised.Despite an extensive search no sign of the teenager has been found and Police are continuing a search and investigations.Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the teenager in this difficult time.
