10 students, aged between 10 and 11, from St Mark's Primary school recently completed a Survival Swimming trial in Ceres with Eoudia Erasmus, our Water Safety Team Leader. Thanks goes out to the Prince Alfred Hamlet municipality for the free use of their pool for the trials. The children in this trial were picked specifically for their fear of the water in comparison to their peers. We are extremely proud of all the students, who after 15 lessons, have gone from a point of not wanting to put their face under the water, to being able to tread water, float, and get themselves out of the water safely after a submersion.
