The Monwabisi lifesaving club lead a hugely successful Spring Day Water Safety event today. Including Strandfontein Surf Lifesaving, Disaster management, Law Enforcement and Strandfontein Sea Rescue.The programme targeted local children giving them Lifeguard rescue demonstrations and a rescue demonstration from Station 16 using their All Terrain Vehicle and Jet Ski. The children were also give a chance to take part in some lifesaving sport as well as an introduction to swimming.Monwabisi Lifeguards and Sea Rescue Strandfontein have committed to taking the basic swimming lessons forward over the coming weekends leading up to the summer season.
