Marc Rodgers, NSRI Plettenberg Bay station commander, said:At 09h31, 16th April, NSRI medical crew were activated following reports of a local 72 year old man suffering a suspected heart attack nearby to the Dunes holiday flats.NSRI medical crew, our NSRI doctor, and our NSRI rescue vehicle responded and ER24 ambulance services responded.On arrival on the scene extensive CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) efforts commenced on the man suspected to have suffered heart failure. These efforts were continued in the ambulance and continued in hospital but sadly after all efforts to resuscitate the man were exhausted, he was declared deceased by doctors.Condolences are conveyed to family and friends.
