File imageMike Shaw, NSRI Mykonos duty controller, said:At 16h27, Tuesday, 13 February, NSRI Mykonos duty crew were activated following a request for assistance from 2 men, aged 65 and 69, from Somerset West, on a rigid inflatable boat with reported motor mechanical failure adrift in the vicinity of Schaapen Island on Langebaan Lagoon and with their deployed anchor not able to prevent them from drifting.The sea rescue craft Gemini Rescuer II was launched.On arrival on the scene they were found safe and a tow-line was rigged.Our sea rescue craft towed the casualty craft to Langebaan Yacht Club without incident where their boat was recovered and no further assistance was required.TO REPORT A SEA RESCUE EMERGENCY DIAL 112 FROM A CELLPHONE
